What mattress is better than Saatva?
Established in 2010, Saatva specializes in direct-to-consumer luxury bed mattress under three brand names: Saatva, Loom & Leaf, and Zenhaven. Pocketed coils provide the Saatva Classic a good amount of bounce near the top, and a luxurious top includes softness. As with all of the Saatva Company’s bed mattress, the Saatva Classic is provided by movers, rather than in a box.

Keep in mind: Saatva recently upgraded the Zenhaven, altering the type of latex utilized in its foam layers. The Zenhaven now includes Dunlop latex, instead of Talalay latex; find out more about the differences listed below. We prepare to check the new variation soon and will update this guide with our impressions.

The Zenhaven is also flippable (the High-end Plush side feels medium-firm, while the Mild Company side feels a bit firmer), which might prove helpful if you’re not sure what you prefer or if your needs alter over time. This is not a conventionally cushy bed mattress, however it provides a flexible cushion, good edge assistance, and a subtle springiness.

We haven’t yet done a deep dive into the “natural” claims of Saatva or of other “environment-friendly” brand names. However we do know that the business uses thistle pulp or natural wool as a flame retardant (instead of chemicals or fiberglass) and only organic cotton (instead of artificial blends) in its covers. As do other online bed mattress companies, Saatva promotes such additionals as zoned layers for “optimum spine support”; we’re less pleased with those functions and more appreciative of Saatva’s responsive customer care and durable foams and coils.
