What mattress is better than Saatva?
Founded in 2010, Saatva specializes in direct-to-consumer luxury mattresses under 3 brand: Saatva, Loom & Leaf, and Zenhaven. In between these 3 brands, the business offers several mattress designs, including the all-foam Loom & Leaf;& Leaf; the latex Zenhaven; the airbed, Solaire; and the hybrid Saatva. Suitable for: People with more specific firmness preferences Sleepers of any size and sleep position Those who tend to sleep hot Couples looking for a combination of pressure relief and bounce The majority of online mattresses are hybrids or foams, so the Saatva Classic stands out. It’s one of the few innerspring mattresses you can conveniently purchase online. Pocketed coils give the Saatva Classic a good quantity of bounce near the top, and a plush top includes softness. As with all of the Saatva Business’s bed mattress, the Saatva Classic is provided by movers, rather than in a box. Saatva likewise offers a generous 180-day trial duration and easy returns.

When their partner stirs might find the Saatva transfers more movement than perfect, individuals who are quickly woken up People who like the hug of memory foam may not feel the Saatva conforms closely enough The Saatva’s convenience system uses thinner layers of foam than numerous hybrid models. While all of the Saatva firmness choices have pressure-relieving capacity, the amount of pressure relief that an individual experiences on the mattress will vary based partially on their weight and sleep position. People who weigh under 130 pounds will likely experience the most pressure relief on the Luxurious Soft variation of the mattress, while sleepers over 230 pounds will likely get the best balance of contouring and support from the Company version.
Note: Saatva recently upgraded the Zenhaven, changing the type of latex used in its foam layers. The Zenhaven now features Dunlop latex, instead of Talalay latex; learn more about the distinctions listed below. We prepare to check the brand-new version soon and will update this guide with our impressions.
The Zenhaven is likewise flippable (the Luxury Plush side feels medium-firm, while the Mild Firm side feels a bit firmer), which might show handy if you’re not sure what you choose or if your requirements change over time. This is not a traditionally cushy mattress, but it uses a supple cushion, excellent edge support, and a subtle springiness.
For this evaluation, I slept on the Saatva Classic, the Loom & Leaf, and the Zenhaven bed mattress for several weeks in my own home. These bed mattress were also examined in our group tests conducted for Wirecutter’s guides to the best foam mattresses and the best innerspring mattresses. As Wirecutter’s senior personnel writer for sleep, I’ve spoken with ratings of professionals in the mattress industry and in materials science; visited dozens of bed mattress factories, display rooms, and shops; and pored over the small print on requirements, service warranties, and return policies. Most recently, monitoring editor Courtney Schley assessed the Saatva Latex Hybrid in her home for a number of weeks.
Making sense of Saatva Saatva’s portfolio of beds– many with an option of firmness levels and catering to almost every convenience preference– consists of: Saatva Classic ( innerspring).
Loom & Leaf ( all foam).
Zenhaven ( all latex).
Saatva Latex Hybrid ( latex with coils).
Solaire ( a bed with adjustable air chambers). Saatva Mattress Review 2014
Saatva HD ( a latex-coil hybrid developed for sleepers who weigh 300 to 500 pounds).
Saatva Youth ( a foam-coil hybrid for kids ages 3 through 12).
We have not yet done a deep dive into the “natural” claims of Saatva or of other “environment-friendly” brands. We do know that the company uses thistle pulp or natural wool as a flame retardant (as opposed to fiberglass or chemicals) and just natural cotton (rather of synthetic blends) in its covers. As do other online mattress business, Saatva promotes such extras as zoned layers for “optimum spine support”; we’re less satisfied with those features and more appreciative of Saatva’s responsive client service and resilient foams and coils.
